    Damn... I'll prob get flamed for saying this but... :)
    I read on Nasioc somewhere that if you pull the e-brake up one click, it will dissable the center diff and allow only the rear wheels to spin.... That may be completely false, but I read it somewhere.

    i've heard of ppl using this trick to heat up their rear tires

    I was under the impression that it does the OPPOSITE...pull the ebrake and it disengages the rear end.

    pulling up the ebrake until the 'brake' light in the dash comes on does several things:

    1. Turns off DRLs.
    2. Center diff lockup is disabled. The diff is now in default mode. (35/65 for 04/05, 41/59 for 06/07)
    3. Usually stops vehicle from moving easily.
    4. A clicking sound is heard from under the ebrake handle.

    Does setting DCCD full back to open pretty much do #2 on the STi?

    full back to open? WTF?

    If you set it 'full rear' or the setting farthest down the indicator where it is highlighted green, then it is the same as #2.
