I hope the guys from Boxer 4 Racing are going again but I havent heard from them lately. Its going to be a crazy year, Mike and Rex both want to pre drive every track as well so it looks like we will be doing a lot of traveling. I would like to thank Team Matt/Siegel/Batlground and Team TopSpeed for supplying me with many of my STU parts thus far.... Can't wait to see what everyone does for Onelap next year!
Street Mod and BSP are money pits..... but I am a wheel and tire whore... buy some CCWs this year and I'll surely buy them used! I want to see an Atlanta Area sweep at 1lap! Edit I had Ian Stewart drive my car this weekend.... he laughed when I told him where I got all my parts!
Still up in the air if we are going or not. One thing is for sure though... if we do go it will not be in the brighton.
If I had to guess I would say that it was probally horribly uncomfortable and loud. I'm thinking about doing it full on Rally style with headsets and stuff.
no ac no radio loud hard ride no reclining seats no heater no wipers no cruise control no windows in the door really expensive front aero that could get damaged really really expensive coilovers that would have to be rebuilt afterwards All in all the car beats the crap out of you, and is very tiresome driving. While its fast, its not something I could live in for a week straight. Spending 5 days in the brighton this year felt like an eternity... were as last year the whole week wasn't that bad.
sounds like Doug is going soft. shoulda kept that CBR 600 which has most of the same issues to keep you toughened up... no ac no radio loud hard ride no reclining seats no heater no wipers no cruise control no windows or doors
Hey Matt, I have found your widebody kit; I think it looks extremely nice and flows with rest of the styling queues of the car. Bad-ass widebody kits doesn't make everything looking out of proportion. "The APR Performance SS/GT (Special Stage/Grand Touring) aerodynamic widebody kit offers traction gains to Impreza WRX and STI owners. The SS/GT aerodynamic kit increases overall body stance by 3.15 inches (80mm). With this increased distance, Impreza owners can now run 18 inch wheels with wheel diameters ranging from 10 to 11 inches and tire diameters up to 295mm to maximize wheel traction." more info
Mike is ordering the Full-Race Twinscroll Manifold tommrow. Looks like we will be doing lots of testing on this setup. First we are going to test the twinscroll 30R vs the Regular 30R. Then we will probally do the same with the 35R and 37R. Should be lots of Fun We have been told to expect a minimum of 35whp gain over the stock manifold so we will see. Matt
so when are you guys going to buy some CCWs? I need some for next year ;p. Are you getting the APR wing too?
CCWs will probally come after One Lap. As for the APR Wing we are getting it for sure. They actually have CFD on their wings. They are really a cool company, very nice guys to talk too.
Wahhhh I so jealous.... Brian buy me a wing too! That wing is hot, the ricer inside me wants it badly. Is onelap going to be in May again this year?
New Plans, I won't be needing the Full-Race Manifold....I'll probally have to make my own for the new setup. Ill post pictures as soon as they are up. Matt
Started working on my OLA08 car today... going to be wicked fast, very light, really quite, and have cruise control. Only down side is no dvd, fixed windows that won't roll down and no heat or a/c again.
