I'll be in San Francisco that weekend, but wish I could have gone. Have fun and take some good pictures.

The sad news...

Alright everyone... As much as I hate to do this - I don't have a choice...

As you will all notice; I have removed this event from my signature... The reason is...

The event is being rescheduled/cancelled...

Now; onto the reason why... The story given to me:

Apparently the powers that be at my office have been in negotiations with Andretti for the past 2 weeks about the event, trying to get it scheduled with them, etc. They've done it plenty of times in the past and will continue to do so, but this weekend just will not work out. A higher power (Sports Management Group - Andretti's parent company) is hosting an event there that day. We've been trying to get them to section off a portion of the skybox there for us, adjust our package, etc - but given the people that will be there, they are unable to accomodate our arrangements. I'm going to see if I can't work with the office to get us rescheduled up for sometime in the somewhat near future, so I'll keep everyone posted on further developments...

I want to personally thank everyone involved in making this event a potential success. Your support for the event was fantastic; it's good to know there's interest in this type of event for the future. Milo did a great job keeping the thread updated and I appreciate the sticky. However - if someone could edit the first post and thread title to indicate the cancellation; I would greatly appreciate it.

Again, I truly apologize for any scheduling issues (and disappointment) that may arise because your Saturday is now wide open! For those that are interested, maybe we can get a group together and go raid somewhere and get some lunch or dinner (depending on the time and no; I can't pay for that - haha).

Anyway, thanks again for signing up - I was really looking forward to chatting with everyone.

 

Oh - also - feel free to yell at me next time you see me - and if you hit me - try not to leave too many bruises - hard to look professional when you're black & blue... Guess I'd match some of the cars tho...:eek4:

Ya know... I think it's a bit assumptive to suggest banning Milo for bringing up Miller Chill... We can't all be perfect; but we should be as considerate as possible.
