Hey everyone, Meredith and BrianGT are at the autox Nationals in Topeka this week/weekend right now Meredith is 2nd overall in STUL, and Brian is in the 30's somewhere in STU hopefully Meredith can catch up to 1st (shes like .05 seconds behind)
Someone called me yesterday to see if you had a CGM STi and liked to bike. Not sure what it was about, didn't ask, didn't want to know, they were also muttering something about "getting all the e-thugs..."
Someone, huh? I own a SGM STi, by the way. You didn't ask and you didn't want to know, huh...I'll remember that. And if someone is screwing with my car or my bike, let me remind and/or alert said individual that my car is parked on federal government property... :hsnono: Don't go there. What are you shhhhh'ing...I'm so confused. Now get back on topic...this thread is about Mere rocking STU!!! :bigthumb:
I didn't do too good, but had a bunch of fun. I gained a few spots today, and ended up 39th in a greatly competitive STU class. Mere did great on day one, really close to 1st, and did alright today, and ended up in 2nd place, which nets her a Nationals trophy I can't wait to get our car setup and dialed in for STU, so that we can bring our own car next year There were a lot of nice STU competitors here and I gained a lot of knowledge in what might work for car setup. I have a bunch ideas of stuff to try to see what will work for our driving styles. Thanks for your support, and will hopefully see some of you guys at the next ATL SCCA AutoX (oct 6th)
We are in St. Louis right, should be back in 8 hrs or so. In retrospect I'm alittle disapointed I couldn't pull out the win on Friday.... I got really really nervous (I looked around for a place to get sick) and drove like shit. But I've been told that I've trophied at nationals in car that I only drove once before so I should be happy! The women who beat me ran faster than open STU last year so I definitely lost to a fast driver. Since STU was an offical class last year she didn't get jacket last year; so she definitely deserved the win this year.
Here is some pictures from last week.... Thanks again Kornhaus! Here is the woman who whooped me on Day 2... notice the big wing.... I need a big wing. The woman and her husband run a shop and make some nice custom camber plates for BMWs, Evos and STis... I may be ordering some in the future!
