So my friend had his mazdaspeed6 aligned at some $.10/doz. quick-lube/tire place (cant remember the name, dont care) despite my recommendation that he take it to Gran Tursimo East.

He took his MS6 to this nameless place about 9 days after installing autoexe lowering springs (~1" drop approx.). He told me the car was handling awesome and the alignment was perfect...I told him to show me a spec sheet and this is what he produced:

    :eek3:

Am I wrong when I tell my friend that his $100 alignment was a joke? I am no guru but this sheet looks god awful...

    My thoughts:

Only .5 camber on the front left and 0 on the right!? Not to mention the .5 difference from side to side..
.09 toe on the front and .18 and .21 on the rear?! Now I know the ms6 is not a wrx, but arent we shooting for 0 toe all around?

I think this is a typical example of what happens when you go to a random garage and dont specify any specs (exactly what I told my buddy NOT to do, lol).

What are your thoughts? Be specific, I'm trying to learn :)

FYI GTE should charge around $90-$100 a performance alignment

I did...I tell all my friends to go there after they blew away my expectations.

Anyone have any specific input on the sheet?

    Side note:
I drove the car recently and it pulled to the right. I told my friend WTF...he calls the shop...the mechanic tells him that 'mazda designed it this way so that if you fall asleep you will drift AWAY from oncoming traffic'. I mean, I cant honestly say that I know for a fact that this is a lie, but a laugh riot ensued:rofl:

He got a full/over price alignment that my mom would like, but won't help him in a sporty car at all. He needs more negative camber and a better job at setting the toe.

i don't know. I was thinking what was the second to last thing I'd want to spend my money on. That alignment being last.
