Like to get some of your input for a short shifter wants and don'ts

Currently i cant keep stock of my V1 shortshifter so im venturing into the V2 (from ground up)
    Here are the preliminary objective
If you like to add your objectives please post.

Ixizshift II will be designed from ground-up and will have the following features, and options
    1. Adjustable short shift
    2. Adjustable Height (shift knob)
    3. Optional weighted upper
    4. Shift boot holdup that is also a locknut for the shiftknob

The design is complete ready for review and "beatdown"

    its different animal
    KB is a good product

I would be very interested in this for my 06 TR. I'm looking to get a short shifter. I was looking to buy the COBB shifter but now I will wait to see how yours turns out. Please keep me informed when it will be available. :eek:hnoes:

well seeing as how the KB is the best shifter on the market, I figured that might be a decent comparison

for the most part, throw adjustability is a waste...why would you *ever* have it set at not the shortest throw? (thanks to clemsonscooby for clearing that up for me)

    best is subjective
I can make a non adjustable short shifter for $40 but why be another

short for one person is not the same as for another
Your reach and mine and everyone else is not the same
I bet i cant fit into your shoes

too short and it becomes too sensitive
too short can also lead to misshift between 1-3 2-4 3-5

If you're looking for people to test it - I've currently got the SPT mine but i"d be willing to do a comparison for you...

NO im not looking for testing
I just want to know what you guys want on a short shifter

I already have version 1 and I am very certain on the fitment and function because Ive already sold more than 70 units with no issues. Im just trying to up the ante for version II. but thanks for offering to test.

I am considering one for the STi. My two biggest requirements are 1) adjusting shift knob height, as my last short throw on the '03 WRX wasn't tall enough, and 2) something that maintains the reverse lock-out for the 6 spd.
