Alright mod bug is attacking me..I've become deathly ill....I'm about to do some upgrades and hope to recover from this bug...lol...I am looking at either the greddy or cobb tbe or anything else...anyone have any experience or preference ?? Just wanted to get some thoughts or suggestions..Thanks!!
If its a 5MT you can pretty much get anything that fits the WRX and STi for the downpipe...but the catback has to be Legacy GT specific. The 5AT cars require a specific downpipe.
I have Invidia downpipe and greddy evo2 exhaust. I love mine. Not too loud. At wot it gets a little louder, but the sound tapers down and it remains pretty quiet. Dunno where you live, but if you wanna hear it, I'm in the marietta area. If you like a quieter exhaust, but not too quiet, then this is the one for you. Or if you are goin to the track, I'll be there. Good luck with your decision.
thanks for everyones responses and input!! once my purchase has been made.... I'll let you all know what I decide to get.....it may be a little while longer before I purchase...IF I can hold out!!!
The Cobb stuff is so nice. I was truly amazed when we went and looked at their facility. Really cool guys as well. Matt
yea it looks to be like some grade A products...as it shows in their pricing as well..but many a time you get what you pay for ...
or if you have some money to blow id get some jdm exhaust. full titanium or some rare metal exhaust. id stay away from hks but other thana that almost any exhaust that dont taper at the end is good.
I would say with Cobb you are getting an exhaust that will probally outlast youre car. If you have never seen one of their downpipes in person they are a work of art. Matt
Cobb is second to none. If you want a quiet exhaust I say Greddy Evo2 if they make it for the Leggy. I was astonished at how quiet my Evo2 was. I can't even heard it at cruise. And I LOVE it. The Blitz sounded wicked and sick but I was tired of the noise. Plus it was damaging what little hearing I have left so no sense losing more hearing (I was born severely hearing impaired).
went to cobb website and saw/heard video of the tbe...needless to say..i now watch that instead of porn..haha
Yeah I'm in the same boat as the OP, kind of. It's kind of disturbing to me how much time I'm putting into deciding between the Cobb catback or Maddad whisper....
The MadDad Whisper is a very nice exhaust. it's one of the best fitting I've ever installed. Contact WolfSong if you want more info on it.
Here's a quick video of my cobb catback if you're curious... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nEaDiT1PKGA
Do you have the Cobb on now? For some reason I thought you had the invidia. Better question: are you still near Georgia Tech? I'd like to listen to the catback first hand.
wow that video was amazing!! I hope to be ordering soon yet i just remembered the holidays are right around the corner!! Dang..gota save for that too!!
I've got a catted helix dp and greddy evo 2 catback. nice setup and fitiment b/w the dp and catback, though I did have to order some kartboy long hangers for some rattling near the muffler section. Subtle, yet deep, rumble at idle. When I fired it up the 1st time in the garage, my wife said it sounded like our old '02 M3 at idle. Actually it's still a little too quiet for me, but sounds nice at WOT. no cabin drone. Good luck.
Did you already order it, I'm about to order a downpipe and a few other things through Batlground, I bet I can get Mike to give you a deal on it. Matt
