My rear lateral links are bent and I found a guy who can sell me 3 off of his 05 sti. Will they be compatible with my 03 wrx wagon and if so can I use one of mine or (2 of mine, 2 of his) to make up for the missing link? As far as I know only 1 link is bent. Stephen, do you remember how many were bent if I am mistaken?
He did when he did my alignment. Any body else got some input? Would it be worth it for autox/mountain runnning or should I focus on other parts?
If you are going to buy the STi links, buy new ones. I wouldn't trust a set of 3 used ones. I made the mistake of buying a pair of used control arms that were "in perfect" condition, and one was bent like this: http://www.briangt.com/gallery/sti/ca_f Luckily I was able to get a refund and return them to the guy. If you are going to be a cheap ass, just buy a single new wrx one from the dealer.
I was reading a post on bbs.legacyforums.org just today and I think the sedan links MAY be longer than those for the wagon. I'm sure someone here who actually knows what they are talking about will chime in to the rescue.
They are longer. It might make your tires rub depending on your suspension setup and it will almost induce some understeer.
