smart4cars. i`m either thinking about getting the apexcone 55w (which has the hi/low for 9007), or just stay stock and be in danger of running into things for a few years and get it retrofitted from alex. the current kit sux because it gave me NO high beam and it messed up my fog light switch cuz the car thinks i`m in high beam all the time. EVER SINCE DAY 1, i guess it came with a cheap ballast cuz my right side would come on, and then the left side would flicker and then comes on. ionno, it was a good learning experience for $150 haha. i am NEVER low-balling on my car ever again; now i know why people pay the premium to get the premium products.

Does the ballast use a fuse or not. because I had a similiar problem and went with a lower power and haven't had a thing go wrong since.

btw, i`m not blaming it on nitro for the kit blowing out. i had my DRL running the whole time, and the kit had some sort of a problem from day 1 (but it does come with 1-year warranty, so i`ll see wut i can do). my other friend that has got a kit on his rsx is perfectly fine with his. if anybody wants one on there car, i suppose it works, but on cars that uses 9007 bulbs, losing the hi-beam was critical. as far as the vision goes, it will light up a certain area much brighter, but not neccessarily further (now i know wut you guys meant by 'useable lights').

also nitro was willing to help me out with the problem, but i just thought i let you guys know about what i think about HID kits in general.

Did you touch the bulb with your fingers when installing them? If you do that they will blow very quickly. When I was working at a shop this summer I learned that the hard way by blowing about 3 sets. PIAA bulbs are shit by the way.
