launch control

    can anyone reccomend some kind of launch control system..ive seen them on sti's before but never knew what kind they had

    launch control comes with Cobb AP V2.... it's awesome!

    yea..i knew ap2 came with it..but im running ecutek..any way besides the accessport?

    I thought ecutek had it in europe a couple of years ago? Did they never release it in the US? They have it on the evos.

    sweet..this feature is only available with the STI, right?
    can you use this when you autox? (legal in your class, etc.) How has it affected your times?

    Any drag racers on here that have used the AP launch control function? What kind of 60' time can one expect?

    Stompy had launch control much before AP released it. Not sure who makes it.

    I'm sure it will work on any wrx that has the lastest and greatest AP v2. Right now it's "technically" legal for STU, STX, ESP, BSP and higher prep classes. Although it's still being debated if it's "truely" legal for ST* classes. On most "national" style courses the start is too tight for a launch start, infact most are designed to punish you for pushing too much at the start. However at Prosolo type events which have dual drag starts into two mirrored courses it's a big help!

    On 60 ft times... I can't comment since I don't drag race, however I will gamble to say hp and race rubber will make more of a difference!

    ok I took a look on cobb's web page and the launch control is only for 2.5L models, so all STIs and 06+ WRX...

    he had a utec on it at that time which provided the launch control. I am not sure what he is using now.
