whats a good turbo thats easy to swap,a full bolt on,and can get me up a good amount of power?and what kinda upgraded turbo would alloy me to run a stock tmic?
That's very subjective. You could probably run a stock TMIC with any turbo but it would help to upgrade. Also, your choice should also depend on whether you intend to run pump gas only or higher octane (race gas, methanol, etc.). How much lag are you willing to tolerate? If you want a simple bolt on turbo and plan to stick with pump gas, I would choose between a 20G and a Green.
Definitely with higher octane. In my opinion, the gain with the bigger turbos is minimal compared to the additional lag on 93 octane.
lag is overrated in my opinion, power is only one downshift away... wait a minute, you are the one suppose to convince people to go 60lb/min+ turbos man, it's not laggy is it? Would you got to a different route if you had the choice?
gt35r. you guys have 2.5l engine why you going so small on turboes?? if i had me a 2.5L id get me a gt42 or something...
Yes, for boost threshold. But the response lag is still there and quite noticeable depending on your end application. If I never intended to go high octane, then I probably would have gone with a 20G. I really like my setup right now on the street. I loved it at Tally. However, it is not responsive enough to be a competitive autocross setup. In fact, the lag might be noticeable on winding mountain roads if you like spirited driving. In a nutshell, a smaller turbo could get pretty close in terms of output for a lot less lag on 93 octane. However, the gains with big turbos on higher octane are definitely worth the lag in my opinion
I would consider a 49lb turbo a minimum, anything from 49lb to 60lb is streetable. Don't fixate on a dyno number either, people tend to get caught up on the number itself.
haha..is a 35r a complete bold on?because i hear its supposed to be awesome..siegel recomended the green turbo..what do you know about that?
