the helix/invidia DP with your choice of catback seems to be a popular choice, i like mine.

If its a 5MT you can pretty much get anything that fits the WRX and STi for the downpipe...but the catback has to be Legacy GT specific.

The 5AT cars require a specific downpipe.

I have Invidia downpipe and greddy evo2 exhaust. I love mine. Not too loud. At wot it gets a little louder, but the sound tapers down and it remains pretty quiet. Dunno where you live, but if you wanna hear it, I'm in the marietta area. If you like a quieter exhaust, but not too quiet, then this is the one for you. Or if you are goin to the track, I'll be there. Good luck with your decision.

or if you have some money to blow id get some jdm exhaust. full titanium or some rare metal exhaust.

id stay away from hks but other thana that almost any exhaust that dont taper at the end is good.

I would say with Cobb you are getting an exhaust that will probally outlast youre car. If you have never seen one of their downpipes in person they are a work of art.

Cobb is second to none. If you want a quiet exhaust I say Greddy Evo2 if they make it for the Leggy. I was astonished at how quiet my Evo2 was. I can't even heard it at cruise. And I LOVE it. The Blitz sounded wicked and sick but I was tired of the noise. Plus it was damaging what little hearing I have left so no sense losing more hearing (I was born severely hearing impaired).

Yeah I'm in the same boat as the OP, kind of.

It's kind of disturbing to me how much time I'm putting into deciding between the Cobb catback or Maddad whisper....

The MadDad Whisper is a very nice exhaust. it's one of the best fitting I've ever installed. Contact WolfSong if you want more info on it.

Do you have the Cobb on now? For some reason I thought you had the invidia.

Better question: are you still near Georgia Tech? I'd like to listen to the catback first hand.

I've got a catted helix dp and greddy evo 2 catback. nice setup and fitiment b/w the dp and catback, though I did have to order some kartboy long hangers for some rattling near the muffler section.

Subtle, yet deep, rumble at idle. When I fired it up the 1st time in the garage, my wife said it sounded like our old '02 M3 at idle. Actually it's still a little too quiet for me, but sounds nice at WOT. no cabin drone. Good luck.
