Ok, so we get the call that KONIG wants us to pimp one of our cars out and put it in their booth for SEMA. Well we felt it would be cool to show you what we are going through to get the car done, especially since most of you wont be going. So this is a piece of SEMA coming to you so to speak. Updates will be done weekly, we have till the 24th to get her done! The NEW KONIG WHEELS Dan has been doing the wiring harness for the last few days, i dont even know where to start. Hes been cutting a bunch of wires out, almost 200, so the car will only run on what is absolutely neccesary and make the wire tuck that much easier. Ill have more pics by the end of the day TOdays progress GOt most of the body kit done, the front end conversion was a PIA. The Dash got dropped off Courtesy of B@D @PPLE thanks JUSTIN! I saw them working on this car yesterday. Talk about a project. They should have a reality show around this build. I saw the car sitting all masked off in the morning, by the time I left last night the entire car had been primed and they were installing the engine. Sweet...
Will you guys be at the Konig booth at Sema? Or somewhere else.. I'll have to check it out in person!!
We will be all over, but prob hanging out around the Konig booth most of the time 10-19-07 Got the car back from Primer and installed the motor late last night after cleaning it. Switching over all the lines to AN and we should have the car cranked, wet sanded and the body parts put back in in time to have it sprayed Monday
This car will decimate all with the right tools and about 15 grand in parts overnighted from japan haha very nice
No, our next door neighbor is, Jeff's Automotive Restorations 770-437-1313. He's kind of a redneck, but does amazing work. ~Tracy
It's true. He has a 3 legged dog, a 15 foot snake, a 6 toed dog, a pig, 6 other cats who were born from a blind cat, a snapper turtle and a cockatiel over there. He also has a deer head in the freezer.
Mine will be different. Right now, we have decided on blue with big flake for the color. depending on sponsorship contracts, I may change it to something I like better....like PINK! I have some little japanese characters picked out for it as a theme. I want it to have the bullets and stuff (symbolizing Batlground), it will just have more girly details added to it. We realized that people who see us on TV don't always notice that there are 2 cars and not one. We are getting 1/2 the exposure for our 2 car team because people only "see" one. It has a big impact in person when you see 2 of them. Everyone is always impressed with them as twins at the events....just for print and TV it sucks. Plus, I want to show my own personality with my car. I got in big trouble for the "unauthorized" (according to Dan's exact words ) shocker sticker on my wing. We fought for a long time over that one. This time he said i can do whatever I want as long as it makes my sponsors happy I wish I could put unicorns on it, but a guy already has one on his car.....*stomps feet*
I used to collect glass ones when I was younger. Now I just have a tattoo instead. My favorite movie is The Last Unicorn.
10-22-07 FIRST COAT OF PAINT at 1am This kinda sums up how we all feel at the moment. Poor Dan watching paint dry
nice, need to slap some numbers on the side and a flag on the roof http://www.cglfc.com/santi_general_lee.jpg -- Brian
thats just the first coat, i left when they were starting the second coat, and then you have to do clear so its much darker now.
mmmmmmm tasty....now for vinyl!!! i'm sure dan is thrilled with the way it turned out despite the worries.
