Well crap, my SMC kit finally shipped monday and now I just read these posts. I thought the new kits were leak free! What precautions can I take during install to minimize the risk of a leak? I plan on running 70/30 mixture. I also heard methanol can damage your eyesight, i sure as hell don't want to go blind because I don't notice a leaky pump!!!
No precautions really. Just keep checking the pump regularly. I'm going to try mixed. If that becomes an annoyance, I'll ditch it completely.
New controller came in yesterday and I hooked it all up. I'm back at full power now and it comes on everytime.
I told you! You go blind everytime you got WOT...the speed is blinding when you have meth....then the pump fails and you can see again.
