Ok I'm getting ready to order a set of brake pads and some rotors also. I wanted to know if sp perfomance rotors are any good? Also what style is better, the slotted or the diamond slotted? I am thinking about going with the hawk hps pads. any ideas, comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Well, if you're getting HPS pads, then I'll assume you won't be doing any track days or autoX. In that case, don't even bother with drilled/slotted, as they'll just wear out the pads faster. Personally, I was disappointed with the HPS when I had a set on my car. They just didn't bite as hard as I wanted, and the ABS kicked in way too early. I'm kinda loyal to Carbotech now and would get a set of their Bobcat pads.

no not really just some day to day driving for now. I didn't think that the slotted ones would wear them out as fast.

The Hawk HPS pads would not be my first choice. I would try something from Carbotech. Can you give us a link to the SP rotors?

I would go with plain rotors and carbotech bobcats

Ah, see my "For Sale" thread. Look at the edge of your rotors and you'll see the vents on the fronts but not on the rears. Vents actually help reduce fade, slotted or drilled do not.

Yes, I know they are orange, but that can easily be changed, PM me if you have any questions

I have the hawks and they are pretty good pads, they just squeak like the devil

Shit my carbotech XP's squeal worse than a 14yr old getting jackhammered in the pooper.

Seriously for the price get Hawk HP+ and you could get away with some autoXing. Get some good fluid and SS lines as well.
