I also need one of these ( purge control solenoid valve ) anyone have one I could buy? I broke it :keke:
I'm having a hard time finding one.

  2. I would not deem that irrepairable just yet. There may be enough material to tap a tiny hose fitting on there (think grease fitting with the ball removed), or perhaps epoxying it back together?
    just an idea.

I broke mine too. It's $111 ($89) from SoG. Took Nathan 30 minutes to find it in his system. :D

You don't need the purge control widget, you can flash the code away in the computer.

Flash the code?? like via a scan tool or do you have to have the ecu chipped?

    Thanks Matt!

I also have a very important question for the guys at batlground and top speed. Do I need to get a basic tune before I break my motor in and then do a dyno tune, or will it be safe to break in with the stage 2 map and then get a dyno tune? I will be coming to one of your shops for my pro tune, I'm really not sure which yet.

I started the car and it runs GREAT!! I'm getting the bov flange welded to the fmic piping so I had to borrow a top mount to turn it over. I'm also in the process of selling my UTEC so I can buy an AP. (thanks for the advise Scott and WJM!) Hopefully everything will work out quickly so I can get a break in tune from Scott very soon. I'm looking forward to meeting you all at the g2g next Sunday. :)

As far as HP numbers IDK.. I still have the stock turbo so I probably wont get any more than +/- 300whp. I talked to Scott while he was doing my break-in tune and he said I can expect roughly 400whp on pump gas and 475+ on race gas with the FP red I'm planning on getting. I know the motor is capable of more but I'm not after the huge numbers, I want real useable power. Preferrably in the mid rpm range.

I'm loving the new sound of the motor BTW! It's an octave deeper and sounds really mean. :keke:

    Quick update!!!

Months later.......still on the SS break-in tune. Motor has over 10k miles on it now and running great. I bought a house about 2 months ago and you know how that goes. Just havent had the dough to get the tune. House > Car. I will definitely post some #s when i get them.... talk about a break-in lol
