Haha, what's with "iTS"? Oh and yeah, that does look like a tight course, big turbos are going to hate life.
Now that I look at the field, I am going to download the STX map from Cobb and probably run that. I guess I can decide when I register.
A DNF is "Did Not Finish" If you go off course, miss a gate, fail to take the slalom as a slalom, etc. you get a DNF. Will, if it makes you feel better, I had you in my projected top 16. But, I don't have you taking top PAX. ...and that's my official guess.
    at mmtasty's course layout I am packing now.. plan on leaving around 1pm tomorrow to make it down to SoG for the pre-event meetup
Those are light posts in the parking lot. They will be far enough away from the course and out of the way of any potential off course incidents. No worries. It is where the old field stood which is now a parking lot.
Don't forget to bring your chairs. Everything else is all set to go and the weather is supposed to be cool but clear. Get ready to rock! Randy
True...cold in AM...the WRXAtlanta beanies would come in handy...ahem...cough cough wink wink el Pres.
'And that's Mike McCoy coming in from his lap.....ooooooh, looks like it's plus 30 cones. That's too bad Mike. Next time buddy, next time' -Patrick "gotsol" D'Auria
Well I won't be able to make it to the challenge tomorrow. My car is overheating and I have yet to figure out why. Water pump is bad or I have an internal headgasket leak.
The course map isn't fully to scale, and the actual course may vary slightly. The cones shown in the picture are obviously extremely larger than actual size. Here is a map of the site that I snapped from google maps and highlighted the obstacles. http://tastybeef.com/misc/turner.jpg (my pole dots are bigger than the actual poles even) From a safety point of view, the course will be walked and approved by licensed Solo safety stewards to make sure that it is safe. There are guidelines that will be followed that should avoid major issues. -- Brian
Are they going to be taking walk-ins? I didnt think i was going to get Saturday off, so i didnt register and i have it off. Either way im going to come even if i dont get to run.
Hey, I received a lot of good feedback from you guys from the Subaru Challenge, and many of you stated that you would love to autocross again for the next season. The only real complaint that I received from you guys was that you only got 4 runs. For the first ARSCCA event, you have the opportunity to get 4 runs in the morning session, and 6 additional runs in the afternoon, with or without an instructor. This is a great way to get seat time, and instruction. I would highly encourage you guys to sign up. Seats are limited, so signup asap.
