For a front mount? I was thinking high temp radiator paint or some kind but if anyone has had good experiences with a particular brand just tell me where to buy it.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Evidently paint on an intercooler fucks up its cooling capabilities. If you wanna color it you have to anodize it

Paint actually has very little effect on the cooling capabilities of an intercooler, the guys at Garrett did a test on it a long time ago. If you want to paint it I would go ahead.

Common sense would say, what you said and I would have agreed until I read that article.

Yeah I read not to powdercoat it cause that crap is thick. But a layer of radiator paint will not hurt it I just don't know what holds up the best.

Reason being I get enough attention toward my car in the first place (stupid teenagers trying to race). I don't need them see me having a front mount and have the rest of america trying to race me. I almost got hit the other day going to school just cause some kid in a civic was trying to show me his car was "fast" and wound up cutting me off when his lane ran out of room.

Oh and I just did some more research on NASIOC and I am not trying to start a debate here I was just looking for a brand name so no going ape shit on each other like the people on NASIOC

Glad we got that out of the way:)

I can 100% promise you that if you paint your FMIC you will regret it. In about a month or two of driving there will be chips and stuff all over the FMIC and there's nothing worse than a rock chipped painted FMIC....it looks HORRIBLE. Just ignore the tards that try to race ya. If you want to hide the FMIC do what I had on my stock bumper.....I bought a roll of that window screen (it was thick and plastic and got it at Lowes for like $10) and I zip tied it to big hole in the bumper. I had to make some small holes for the zip ties but it hid the FMIC very well and it didn't hinder airflow any at all.
