Funny thing about that clutch.... His dads buddies shop worked on it after it left Batlground....they did a real nice job. Never another Tilton Clutch again....worst product ever.
No I'm serious, after Batlground worked on it, he didn't like the way the Tilton felt...which is because it felt like an iron twin disk...it felt like a race clutch and he didn't like it. So he took it to his dads buddies shop that works on "race cars"....aka "rednecks"...and they "fixed" the clutch...thats when you got to work on it and he bitched about it until he parted it out.
either way when i got it...it was like...complete ass. His never disengaged at all when i got it. Atleast the pedal was light and I was able to get it adjusted correctly.
Its funny because it was fine when it left batlground, he just couldn't understand that a twindisk metalic clutch is grabby and thats all there is to it.
Regardless of the clutch, it still made killer power. He had the twin disk in it for ALONG time after it was done being built. Im actually pretty decent friends with him still.
wooooooo hydra, maybe that's the key element and this was 30lb of boost with c16 correct? Did he spray methanol on top? I guess there is hope afterall
I really want to see someone locally with a GT35R STI run 10s. Lowman's car made the power but never had a good time slip. A little off topic but just something I'd like to see, that or slowwrxs bugeye make a single pass down the strip.:sx:
yEAH IM with you on Matts bugeye, if he doesnt get it running soon im going to start renting it out to people as a dog shelter
I'm going to work on it this week, I was going to drop the motor back in it on monday but Dan and Brandon had both lifts tied up......something about making money....I don't know...
