Super KevlarII timing Belt job. I have posted something on this a couple days ago and the response was to take my Subie to a qualified Subaru dealership, but I don't have a lot of confidence in the one I recently used after the last $350 leasson with no improvement and a response from the dealer "well the work we did was neccessary, it must be something else"... oh yea, they are rated as a Steller Performer) Anyway, a fellow member "WJM" has offered to consider coming over to my garage to do the work (please see original post for complete information), but I have not heard back from him since my response eariler today. He states he works for a Subaru dealership in Mt. Airy NC,. I could not find Mt. Airy N.C. on the Map Point program I have on my lap top, so I don't know if it is feasible for him to make the trip, but I like his offer and it has motivated me to put the offer out there to others in the case he is too far away. I don't mind paying the fees WJM required to a qualified tech with the correct tools. I like the idea I will get to be there to watch and learn. If WJM can not make the trip to TN, I will consider making the trip to the Atlanta area to get these parts put on. Someone can put some extra cash-o-la in their pocket during the Holiday Season. I will be out of town for the next seven days, but checking the response if any. Thanks, FIFE1BULLET
Do a google map search, you'll find it there. Zip code is 27030 for the dealership and 27045 for my house. Either way, looks like a 7 hour trip. My fee for coming out your way is going to go up unfortunately in order to cover fuel. However, Marietta is only about 4 hrs from you...and Mike (LiquidForce) has done a lot of engine work with 100% success rate.
If I 'had' to let someone else work on my car it would be either WJM or LiquidForce. I personally know both of these guys are the best and treat the cars they work on as if they were their own. Good luck!
