hey guys i just put an aps front mountonmy sti and i know ur supose to get some lag but im not boosting right, with top mount i was boosting around 1.1 bars thats like 17 psi and now with the front mount is only like 0.5 bars i guess thats like 12 psi, should this be normal
That shouldn't happen. You might have a boost leak. If you are using the worm clamps provided with the kit, replace them with t-bolt clamps. I had to do that with mine.
dam would a clamp to that i mean there tiide all the way u know where can i get the clamps ur talking about and thanx
I don't understand. Hydraulic Supply Company. Their locations are listed here: http://www.hydraulic-supply.com/html/rrlocal.htm I would recommend you first get your system pressure tested to make sure that there is a leak. Regardless, those worm clamps are pretty shitty. Thank you
no it wouldn't it, most likely your couplers are loose somewhere because worm clamps doesn't seal well when they are overtightened and wrinkles the silicon
No. When I first installed my front mount, I had the stock turbo. It hit the target boost levels, but IIRC, it would stutter a little when I floored it.
Did you replace any vacuum lines? Particularly those going to the boost control solenoid or the wastegate?
mountonmy....is not a word JJ:hsnono: BTW.................since u ignored my phone call........the FMIC looks sweeeeeet:bowdown:
LOL @ Jay's 3rd grade style typing! He called me last night telling me he fixed the problem. And that now its hitting his old boost # and everything seems to work fine. Couldn't really understand everything he said though, voicemall ftl. Lol
:rofl::rofl: it was really ssh: i for got to put a clamp on the pipe that goes o the turbo :keke::keke: but know is working fine well a lil lag but not to bad, thanx to all of u guys
