I got me a brank spankin new set of Swifts just begging to be ridin' on my Fozzy, I just have to get it done. Hope fully sooner rather than later! I hear this is not to bad a job, but I travel a lot, and Im lazy. Anyone found a good shop for doing a spring R & R / alignment? :eek3:
Or anyone like working in the cold and dark during the week want to assist? :wavey:

I stopped by one shop on the way home and they wanted $600 for it. I said no way, I'll just knock it out myself. Suggestions? Comments?

Lowest I was quoted for mine was $350... no way. Find the time and do it yourself. Its not that hard(if I can do it, you can). Borrow some spring compressers thru autozone and knock it out...

I could possibly do these for you, though I'm not sure how soon you're looking to get them on.

Shoot me a PM if you're interested.

Well after seeing a resounding influence for pEd, I've dropped him a PM. We'll see how it goes.

    Thanks to all!

There is a shop in your driveway and its free! There are plenty of write-ups on the internet. People will let you borrow spring compressors, if not they are only $30.

yea the driveway thing. ive done enough clutch/head/drivetrain etc jobs in my driveways to last a life time. Once put a clutch in a 1800 series international truck over a gravel driveway. You know how heavy that tranny is!?

Anyhoo. Im sposed to meet pEd this Sunday to knock this and my STI rear swaybar out.
The fozzy will look so much better: like and AWD not a 4WD! :)

Pretty straight forward install... you gotta take the back seats out, which sucks. Springs aren't compressed that much at all... the only thing is a pain(unless you have air tools), is getting the top nut off the strut. You have to use an alan stock to keep it from spinning and somehow turn the socket(we used plyers)...
