You can't tune ECUTEK without a license

what would stop me (not that i would) from plugging in my laptop to my car and attempting to do so? Does the software require a cd key of some sort?

    How does it work?

hmmm sounds hackable. But I don't think I'd want to be hacking into anything that could cause great damage to my engine :)

    also it's just shady...

When was your last tune done?

If it was in 2005 or maybe even early 06 the Ecutek can be read/modified with the openecu tools. If it was mor recent then it is locked.

Nice car man. That makes you and Oneiguy both rolling around in WRXatlanta OG mobiles.

The Ecutek EasyECU allows for some kind of map swapping but I'm not sure if you can tune it yourself. You could always get a new ECU to use with open source and try to sell the Ecutek.
