Hey guys, I finally decided to suck it up and join the forum. I'm friends with a few guys on the forum, and was invited, first by dontcallitarex, and then by DeweyWRX, to join the forum, even though I don't have a WRX (but I want one REALLY bad). I didn't wanna be "that guy" and join WRXAtlanta without, you know, a WRX, but after not one but two invites, I figured I'd give it a shot. I met a few of you guys at the registration for the Subaru Challenge (I apologize to anyone who's car I may have drooled on). I've heard so many positive things about this group of people and I'm excited to be here. So that's that, and now to make sure all the bases are covered: My name is Adam, and I drive a bone-stock 1998 Acura 3.5 RL. I'm a Tech student, so I kind of live in Atlanta. When I'm not in school, I'm either at my mom's house (Tallahassee, FL), at my dad's house (Washington, DC), or working at Gulfstream (Savannah, GA). If I owned the Subaru of my choice, it would probably be an '07 STi. I'm more of a "go" guy than a "show" guy, but I still want my car to look good. I'm looking to buy my first tuner car, but I haven't decided what to buy just yet. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. Thanks, guys.
welcome to the site. Gulfstream is just right down the road from me....let me know when you are down this way. Pomoriski also works at Gulfstream, but I think he mainly rides his bike to work now, although, keep a lookout for a yellow bugeye wagon...
Welcome!! my Father lives in D.C. also. A suby has good power right out the gate and you can always improve. and if mom and dad are "involved in purchase" the safety aspect of any subaru will win them over.
Do what I did if your broke. Go get a used 04. They are not that expensive and damn fun right out of the box.
welcome to the board!! 3.5 is still a sweet ride to have! Hope you can join the Subaru family soon enough though!
Welcome to the board! I agree. I've been a member here for maybe two months, and have been to the Atlanta area a whopping three times now and have already met a few great folks here. Look forward to catching up with you at a meet sometime - take it easy.
