I dunno about the 2.75... I doubt they'll let me do aftermarket parts. I tried that with Jim Hardman, but they said it has to be stock Subaru parts... But I'll definately have the LS1 RX-7.
Yeah, if they fix it, I'd like to have a new engine, but if they don't replace it... I'd rather just total it out.
If you fork out the money in advance and buy the aftermarket stuff the the dealership will cut you a check for the remainder....I should have bought wheels on my own and then gotten the money back when the repair was done...
i could have easily gotten any kind of transmission when i got in my wreck. i paid for it out of pocket. just tell them you found an engine through a personal source and you're just gonna have SOG install it. thats what i did with my tranny. although i wound up actually paying for the tranny itself outta pocket. they paid for the upgraded brakes, pads, and tranny/brake labor.
That fucking sucks mate. At least you're safe. Losing the back end of these cars on the road isn't a fun time as others and I can attest to. Try and fight them for every last penny if they choose to total it. and btw, we have some vultures on this website looking for parts!

I saw your New Car thread before I saw this one. That sux about the accident, but at least everyone was ok. It sounds like you did everything you could to pull yourself out of it though. Looks like it used to be a really nice car. Good luck getting a new one.
