Hi, I just got home with my (new to me) 2002 Ralley Blue WRX. I got her for 10k flat with 72k miles and has never been moded or raced. All service was done at Subaru of Gwinnett and all records are in the glove box. I am a proud owner and looking forward to going the following route in the never satisfying search for more HP. Please provide me some input. 1. Cobb Tuning AP v 2.0 2. Perrin UP 3. Turbo XS dp w/cat 4. Borla Hush exhaust 5. Suspension? (on my teg I had KONI yellows and neuspeed sport springs) Looking to stiffen and drop about 1.75 inches. Input on this will be helpful. Thanks for what I'm sure will be a warm welcome.
if i had the money to do it all again, i would have saved for the 2.5L off the bat. better over all platform. 2.0l just isn't a reliable engine to mod. just my .02 welcome !!!!
Welcome! I am a fellow bugeye owner (and an integra was my last car too...) Welcome to TORQUE!!!. The setup you have is a great start. I have a VF39 (STi turbo). My WRX has KONI Adjustable with Eibach springs and sways. Pics of car? And where are you from?
Sup yo, Sounds like a good start to your moding. Congrats on your purchase, be sure to make it out to some of the many meets.
Suwanee, and I am going to order the AP tommorow morning. The exhaust will be next month and then the dp and UP.
250 whp or 250 crank? Get a bigger topmount intercooler, a VF39, injectors and a fuel pump, and then use the stock map from AP (or get a Siegel Tune) and 250 whp is a piece of cake.
250 at the wheels? sure. VF39 all the way. honestly i haven't found anything bigger to be much more reliable. maybe a 16g, but you won't net a whole heck of a lot more power. and since you only want 250, then VF39 is the way to go. just remember you'll need bigger injectors and a new fuel pump as well. not to mention a good tune. that will result in a great daily driver.
thats the goal, I want a reliable fun to drive, nice to look at daily driver and then when someone pulls up in my old teggy I can laugh and say that used to be me! Then look in my rear view mirror as a single tear falls.
welcome to site and congrats on your purchase! Suwanee....I'm in Lawrenceville so we may cross paths soon!
If you are around ATL, you are more than welcome to ride with me to see if you like a a 2.0L VF39 setup. Believe me, this setup is an AMAZING daily driver and eats integras for lunch.
sweet thanks, I am excited about the AP first though. I have heard sooo much about it being the best first thing to do. I hope to be at stage 2 by the end of Febuary.
lol wow i had an integra as my last car too, weird that most of us did lol but yea welcome to the site bro hope you enjoy it!
I actually had an Integra as my previous car as well. Start with the AP. Then the UP&DP. Then get the catback. You'll see the biggest gains in getting rid of the UP/DP. Don't forget the suspension and brakes. And Welcome to the site!!
welcome aboard man...think i have seen ya around on IA and have talked to ya before. U used to have a silver teg? P.S same here...i also have a teg GS-R lol.
