I took the plunge and painted my rims. I will eventually get the rims powdercoated but this will do in the meantime. Let me know what you think!
The rear is some Ebay spats that were part of the INGS knockoff kit. Thanks for the compliments. The clear on the front drivers rims hazed on me bad so I have to redo that one but the others look good.
Pretty cool, If it was my car my car I think I would paint the hood, headlights, mirrors, and wheels white. All white is sexy
Yeah that would be very sexy but hard to keep clean. That was why I went with black rims....those Hawk HP+ I got from you with the Brembos dust up worse than a dust storm in the desert!
I used Dupli-Color semi gloss engine 500* paint with Duplicolor clear all for rims. Washed them up really well with a SOS steel wool pad, sanded with 600 grit sand paper, cleaned and wiped it off with laquer thinner, then 3 coats of paint followed by 2 coats of clear. Waited 10-15 mins between each coat. It was a long and tedious process but was worth all the time and effort it took.
