With the help of our friendly neighborhood Viking, Alex:bowdown:, I got an OEM style boost gauge installed. The mechanical end of things works perfectly right now, but we weren't able to finish the illumination part of the install, so basically the gauge doesn't light up with the rest of the gauges right now. I pulled out my console to look for a harness to plug the gauge into, as such a plug is available on the 02-07 wrxs, but found nothing that even matched the plug type, which is two perpendicular prongs. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking about.

Does anyone have a suggestion? Would something like this work?: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIV...ryZ43952QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

    Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

The mechanical boost gauge I had, I spliced in the wire for the light to the power that goes to the back of the clock. There are three different wires, always on, ignition on, and lights on. You only want to connect it to the lights on wire.

Thanks for the help! On the 2008s the clock is integrated into the dash, as in it's part of the rest of the dash assembly, not just in a little pod like previous models. Check it out:

Is there any other place to draw from maybe?

I am sure it pops up Russ. I vaguely remember when doing my defi install that there is a part of the radio harness you can tap into. Ill see if I can dig that up :)

You could prob also tap the key ring deal.

Radio should have an illumination wire, I'll pull my cd player out later to see what color it is, not sure if it'll be the same for your 08.
