So I got a new electronic boost gauge and need to tap into ground, constant 12v, acc, and lights. I figured the radio wiring harness would be the best place since it has all that I need. My quesiton is what gauge wire is the radio wiring harness? I want to use some of those inline tap things. WJM?

    Thanks

I used the clock and just spliced into the power, ground, etc. for it, but I dont know what would be easiest for the Saabaru

Where are you mounting the gauge?

Subaru was kind enough to run all the wires you need where the clock is. They ran them for the optional perfomance gauge cluster.

edit: I forgot you had a Saab. Not sure if its the same.

    and btw inline taps suck.

The cars are the same. I am mounting it to the steering column. How do I take the clock out? I got the rear up but could not get the front to release and did not want to break it.

If the clock area is the same as an 04 subie, just take a flat head screwdriver, wrap it in tape or something to keep it from scratching up anything, and just slide it around the front. It should just pop up. It is the same clips up front as it is in the back.

Thanks, I will check that out tonight. Anyone have opinions on tying into existing wires? I am open to suggestions.

BTW - You dont need to tap into the illumination unless you jsut want it to change colors when you turn on your lights. I you just want the same color day and night, you only have to supply that wire with 12V.
