VERY NICE! I have always loved those cars, I had several 240's, a 260 and 280. Looks great man. what color is that?
That thing is gorgeous man, hope that you can keep it that way. Not many of those left in that good of shape.
it's nissan KN6 dark gray pearl, the pearl is pretty blue i cant remember exactly what it is but in the light its a navy look and in the dark just a dark gunmetal it was cheap! I got it done at Sprayglo Duluth, for the price i wouldn't recommend anywhere else $550 paint job base clear KN6 pearl with 5/3 year warranty. It's not a perfect paint job, but you also have to take into account the body of the car was nowhere near perfect and you can't sand out body imperfections to the degree that this thing has, but i'm very satisfied with what they did with the car i presented them with it's pretty gross under there right now... lots of new parts going in there soon though. New manifolds, turbo setup, new standalone (MS) etc right now just CAI, MSD blaster coil, headers, 3" exhaust with resonator and no muffler
so did they paint the door jambs and under the hood and trunk? I need to get a paint job for my Porsche and yours looks great from the pics.
not for the price I paid, but they will of course i know each jam is like $100 extra and im sure a good bit for hood and trunk?
Thats my dream car. Except I want one with a 2jz motor swap (RB's are too expensive and hard to find). I love Z cars almost as much as subarus. I need a ride next time I see you.
yeah 2jz is nice, i just like to keep it nissan. It's going turbo soon and whenever it eventually dies i'll get an RB if i still have it, probably will go through a handful of transmissions before then
I remember seeing the car when I was up there the other day, my first thoughts were "wow, they think they can save this thing?"
haha you really thought that? . Exterior was just primer with that blue on top . Had a lot less rust than most southern cars. New metal put in on exterior rusted areas. Rest of the car is pretty much solid
Just looked rusty - I was there a WHILE ago...haha. My car goes in there on Tuesday (if the bumper beam gets here in time!)
Good Luck! I only dropped it off Jan 14th so it was actually not there too long at all (about a week and a half)
Looks great, I am sure the photos do the paint quality no justice. Just wait till your able to polish the hell out of her Then you'll have a nice depth AND shine :bigthumb:
^ that thing looks good. I love the Zs! Since they didn't do the jambs, a scotch bright and Walmart $0.99 semi black does wonders!
