Here is what Sakari has available and I think one should meet my needs. Please vote your personal preference and if possible a brief description for your choice. Link to the optionserrin, Cobb, and Kartboy http://www.sakarimotorsports.com/cat...35_112_562_653 Thanks guys!
Kartboy + STi SS I was going to get the Perrin because I wanted the adjust ability, but I heard that actually causes problems.
Why not get the TiC super shift set? Includes bushings, etc AND the SS lever. http://www.turninconcepts.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_9_7_479_20&products_id=38
^^^ thanks BK... but I would recommend COBB for the STi Short shifter just be cautious and check the clamps once a while
That is for the 5spd only. I did not see it on his site but I will check again and check out the link but I figured I would check the local guys that support our forum. yaaaaamean EDIT: FAWK that TIC is expensive...but looks nice and complete.
^^but it is 300 bucks the MOST expensive of all even with the GREAT deals he gets. Although I want to check if it comes with all upgraded bushings like the TiC then maybe.
Call classic and ask for parts and then ask for bull and tell him "the eye doctor" alex told you to call and he should be able to tell you about the bushings! Too many darn and's.......sorry LOL
I have kartboy short throw and bushings. There is a world of difference. THe bushings especially help. At first it feels a little stiff, but after driving it for a day, you will never want to have the stock feel. It shortens the height to a good level too. IMO this is what the stock shifter should feel like from the factory. KingWRX has driven my car. He'll give you a second opinion.
He may be a local guy, but he refuses to be a vendor here which is pretty weaksauce Kartboy FTW! Also, who cares about the adjustability, when you are just going to have it as short of a throw as you can anyway?
Kartboy makes awesome parts for reasonable amounts of money. I have one in my 08 wrx, and every other shifter on any car I've come across feels incredibly sloppy after it. Including a 996 911. With a porsche short throw.
Note that package includes the Kartboy shifter which I carry and I can also do package deal with TiC bushings... Here a link again since the link in the first post seem to not work.. http://www.sakarimotorsports.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=23_35_112_562_653
I'm sorry, but I have to go with Alex. The turn in concept guys are too notch! I know mike is great as well, but Clint and Tony at TiC are the best! And DAMN good pricing! :bigthumb:
I think the implication was that Sakari carries TiC products. I am sorry for linking you to the 5spd in my OP
no problemo, I will give Sakari a shot as his prices look good less the TiC bushing. I am sure he will be competitive.
Thanks guys for all the input I will be going with the Kartboy TiC combo put together by Sakari it is the same as the one on TiC's website.
is it for this same kit? http://www.turninconcepts.com/product_info.php?cPath=1_9_11_260_264&products_id=12
yes, according to Sakari it is just the Kartboy shifter kit + TiC bushings. Alex: I will be meeting him Friday to give him some cash.
