I live in Washington state now and talk about mud on the roadways and on the base I work at, is there a way to use the tank in the back that normally would pump water onto the intercooler for those of us still running top mounts. But I literally need to have a line run from that tank to the back bumper near the lights that lite up the liscence plate, so as to spray water down on the plate itself. I clean that plate off every 2 days it's actually that dirty up here. I know it's a F***ED up ? but any help would be greatly appreciated.
Can't see plate can get traffic violation for obscured license plate. They make reflecting spray or whatever to screw up the light cameras. Not sure on the legality of it. I personally stick to the "stop when the light is red" policy.
The problem, of course, is that he wants people to be able to see his tag. So let me think here. Alright. Here's what I'm thinking. You'd have to disassemble your trunk, though. 1. Find extra washer nozzles from a totaled car or something. 2. Run another line off of your current windshield washer fluid line (the one running to your rear window) - I don't know where you'd find this hose, but I could easily rig something up. 3. Mount the washer nozzles in the little lip where your plate lights go. 4. ???? 5. Profit
My suggestion would be to invest in a <$2 spray bottle from wal-mart and a cheap thing of paper towels.
Plus if he gets the LED washer nozzles he won't have to have those lights under the lip competing for space. He can just retrofit them in. Holy shit that's not actually a bad idea... It would probably add like 15hp, too.
Washington state law is that the liscence plate in the rear must always be visible, if it isn't it's a 50dollar fine. thanks for the idea guys especially the actual advice about running the lines through the trunk. I wash the back plate every 2 days - it's when i am on the raod traveling between Yakima and Ft. Lewis 160miles that I wanted to clean it while moving kind of like a back wiper idea. I know that the audi's in the 80's had wipers on their headlights in the front - so i figured I could do a similar idea on the back plate. I have a protective plastic cover over it now, which would be the flat surface needed for the spray and wipe idea. I do use the spray bottle now, but i figure i could atleast give it a shot if it works who knows I could actually make a little bank off the idea.
