Tal was Medivac'd out of CMP today I was afraid that this would get lost in the other post, if anyone has any info please post it up. I hope he is ok thats pretty high speed going into 14. Matt B.
It can happen very easily, I had brake failure at Road Atlanta going into 10a with Siegel in the car, I got lucky. Hopefully Tal will be ok, I'm trying to find out more info now. If I hear anything Ill update this thread. Matt
hope hes alright and will make a full recovery. we need to install ejecting seats for track days incase shit goes awry
My prayers go out to him and his family. I am going to try to get hold of his wife. If I can and she does not mind me updating everybody I will.
Good news. I just got off the phone with Tal. He broke a bone in his back but should recover fully. I'll post more later about what/how it happened.
Bad news, and then good! As everyone else has said, my thoughts and prayers go out to he and his family...
A couple of things actually, Scott and I were both instructing and we had some friends helping prep the car between sessions, someone left the cap off the resivor so by the time we got around to 10a the system had sucked a bunch of air. I went to the brakes coming down the fill and got nothing but floorboard. It was pretty scary we I slid it in pretty hard and scrubbed off enough speed that we were able to get it slowed down and back on track right after 10b. Matt
Glad you were not hurt worse man. I dont think that we have meet but let us know if there is anything you need bro! Get well soon!
As all of you know .. We got great news this morning at the drivers meeting. That he was in good shape and got moved out of the ER, and is doing well. Thanks to everyone in NASA-SE, CMP EMTs, and workers that took care of him yesterday. But
that is some scary shit, i'm glad he got out okay(i.e. alive), but a back injury is no small matter-he could be in pain for the rest of his life. let's all hope/pray that isn't the case.
This was not a good weekend for us subaru owners, I blew the motor in my 2.5 rs and spun Mikes (mes50w) car into the tire wall in the kink. I'm glad to hear Tal wasn't more seriously injured and hope he makes a full and fast recovery.
Sorry to hear but glad everything turned out for the best..Will continue to pray for a full recovery with no problems.
Just got off the phone with Tal and he is in much better spirits today. He was fitted with a brace and was able to walk on his own and is not experiencing any numbness. Things are as good as one could possibly hope for
