and throttle body. Too bad you didn't get there sooner. When I first saw that car the it was in beautiful shape and the engine was complete. BTW I know where the intake manifiold is
That would be soooooo ridiculous. Please do it! PLEAAASSE!!! We could have a "make Xan's car even more bitchin" meet.
Okay so here's that manifold: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBA...016QQitemZ260173100324QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBA...016QQitemZ260173099677QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/SUBA...016QQitemZ260173099937QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWD1V What else do I need? Throttle body. Okay. Hmm...
You'll need a complete harness too. This swap was in the pipelines for me, would be so awesome to see someone on wrxatl do it!
How much is it? I'd think that HP/$ a WRX or STI motor would be much better in the long run than an H6. Being unique is also good but may cost you more money in the end.
don't be acting like it ain't true! may be more expensive on subies but na power is much better! besides those motors make 240hp stock (correct me, guessing), with a little work and the weight of his car, he could be having some serious fun!
Not really. Someone who did the swap in a GC found it really didn't knock about the weight balance much at all. The wrx motor with all the turbo gubbins is by no means a lightweight.
lol wut? Alright. I think I'm gonna do it. Will: EJ transmission bolt up easily? Mike: What else do I need besides the manifold, exhaust and throttle body? Everyone else: How hard is the wiring gonna be?
Alright guys, here's what's up. There's another SVX that got dumped onto a junkyard ALMOST as far away about 1 month ago. What are the odds that its engine is more complete? Also, does anyone want to come with me on Saturday to check it out and see how much of it is useable?
It'll bolt up. Everything, just in case. wiring: If you aim to keep OBD2 compliant, you'll need a 96~97 SVX to complete the task. You'll need ALL of the front and bulkhead harness, then send your harness and the SVX stuff off to get merged at ECS. Then install, done. If no need to be OBD2 compliant: Get an AEM and custom wire that bitch. Done.
