Hello all! Just wanted to throw out the obligatory "I'm new and wanted to say hey" thread. I'm located here in the Atlanta area, and even though I've been a member on Nasioc for awhile, I actually didn't know this site existed until recently. For those of you who post over there, I also go by the user name "J. Steinbeck." My car is pretty basic- an 04 wagon with a TBE and version 1 Cobb Accessport. Love the car and and the current setup, but I'm beginning to work on putting together a VF39 (or similar) upgrade this summer. I'm still debating just having my current setup protuned, but the jury is still out on that one... Regardless, just wanted to say hello to everyone. Look forward to interacting, trading with, and possibly even meeting some of you fine folks. -"K. Marx"
Thanks for the welcome! Oh yes... regardless of what I do, a protune will be on the agenda. I've already spoken with Scott Siegel about having one done. I just have to pick a course of action, though, because if I do the upgrade I'm going to try and get all the parts I need together, install them at once, and then get tuned asap. If I go with the VF39 I guess I could get around for awhile with the Cobb OTS map, but I'd rather not.
Thanks! Happy to be a member. The weird names are just kind of a.... thing...... that I have had going. No real reason why.
Welcome! Political propaganda is banned on WRXAtlanta, unless you're a right wing, Christian fundamentalist, then, the mods will be too scared of you to act...kidding, kidding....but really, welcome...
You should find us a little more friendly than the folks at Nabisco. Welcome. Come on out to the Quizno's show coming up, there should be a bunch of us out there. Brandon
Thanks again everyone. I've been doing some reading, and if I can find time to get away from work and the house, I may try to get out to a couple of the meets that I see coming up. At the very least, I'd like to get back into autocrossing. My car has yet to see an autocross course, but I used to run my old 300ZX in the East TN. region SCCA on occasion. I have to admit I miss it. And yes... reading through the posts on here, the atmosphere seems a bit more friendly than Nabisco. Not to down Nasioc, but you can't help but feel like the pitchfork mob is always in the shadows waiting for you to slip up and say the wrong thing.
