If you have a 5 gallon gas jug it will help keep you from having to leave the track. If you have any questions, shoot me a text message.
Scott, I'm a little embarassed, but I don't think I realized that either of these dates (initially the 21st or now the 18th) were weekdays :0 I have been getting so damned hyped about this, but I don't know my work schedule yet... I typically travel during the week, so this event may not be for me
Hey Guys. I need deposits. With Norman coming, there are probably going to be a bunch of Miata guys signing up... please get me your deposits so I know how many spots are left. Siegel
How would a guy who has autocrossed quite a bit but never tracked his car (other than parade laps at RA) fit in on this day?
You'd be okay... I would still suggest the more instruction-intensive SRDEC for someone new to road-courses, but if you're careful, you'd do okay. Siegel
Considering I would be driving 5/10ths, how badly would this chew up brake pads and tires? I would love to do the instructor driven event too, but really want to come to this to meet Norman, seeing as I am a Miata enthusiast...
At 5/10th's you'll do minimal damage to tires and brakes. Realistically you'll run 5/10th's for maybe 3 laps and then start pushing harder If you have the restraint to run 5/10th's all day I'll buy you lunch It would be good to have you, come on out. Siegel
Please PM me your paypal addy....hnoes: EDIT: Money Sent now...you might do a track day FAQ that we can sticky...
Scott, Put me down for a spot. I should be able to make the 18th. You should still have my full payment from last year. I was the 11th guy in a 10 man field, and you suggested just hanging on to the money so I could get in the next one. IIRC, I even paid for lunch. If you can't find it though, LMK, I'm sure I still have the Paypal around somewhere. Thanks -Chris!
Scott, somebody on the soloforum is planning a track day on the 18th as well... hopefully the day isn't double booked! http://www.soloatlanta.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15
Im always down for TGP Track days so post up asap when you know when the next one will be, I didnt see this thread til just today. l8r
Am I missing the area for the logistics of this event? What time? Directions to track, where we will meet. etc? Anyone want to caravan out there from Atlanta?
I'm sure the siegal will post something this weekend  I'm up for meeting at the mcdonalds on fulton industrial.

Scott & all, Turns out I will not be able to make it tomorrow after all. No worries about a refund, it's a bit late for me to be cancelling. But if someone else is available, I wanted to get the word out that there's now an open slot. -Thanks -Chris! (ptc)
Thanks for a well run and very entertaining track day! The Atom was awesome to watch, as expected and I learned alot about the limits of my car. I'll get the alignment "sportified" as soon as I decide what struts to buy and do it all at once. Also, is there a common place for everyone to post the pics they took yesterday?
Thank you Siegel Racing for yet another exciting and safe track day. Got to meet a lot of new people (Norm Garret was there!) and had a blast. With the new SRDEC open/class choice setup, I really hope to see more wrxatl members out there.
Yeah , forgot to say it was good to meet or re-meet several people. Kelly (not sure about this screen name) and Monk were there and were driving their STi's like they are supposed to be driven. Norman was a nice guy and very approachable and a good driver to boot...
What a great track day! Good to meet all of you guys. I just uploaded one session http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-776392751280543468&hl=en My hottest lap was about 1:09 (13:20 of video) No bad for my shabby driving.
Thanks! you should make it out to one of scott's track days! It's well worth it. After a day at the track you'll know your car so much better!
Wow awesome picture! Feel free to share more! One downside of being in the atom... You can take cool pictures like that!
