Well all the parts for the 07 6MT swap are in less the DCCD controller which will be a few more weeks. You do know that you cannot use the Stock 5 speed shifter linkage? I don't see the SPT shortshifter I had listed in my parts list.
I would go ahead and buy the kartboy gc8 shortshifter to go with the SPT linkage. Shortened 50% throw
I got the Kartboy SS with all bushings including TiC. The part # you had listed was for the SPT SS did that come with all the linkage or was there a specific part # for that? If so can you post up the part # for just the linkage that I can use with the Kartboy SS? EDIT: Okay I will go with Saturday the 23rd a week from tomorrow, that way one less day for the baby to drop and an extra day if we run over.
Thw SPT isn't just a short shifter. It comes with the reverse mechanism and linkage and the whole nine yards.....that Kartboy SS is useless as the SPT one is the same thing!
Rick did you buy the kartboy SS made for wrx or rs? If you're using the SPT linkage you have to use the RS kartboy SS.
if he got the KB for WRX or RS hes screwed as he needs the 6MT specific one along with all the other tiny and large bits for the 6MT linkage set and reverse lockout mechanism.
Ummm, no. The RS doesnt require reverse lockout. The 6MT does. I've seen and installed the RS KB before.

if you dont have the reverse cable hooked up, you can go into reverse at any time. Bad idea when you go too far on a speed shift to 6th or if you miss the 4th gate and then somehow end up going past the 6th gate then into reverse. I've seen it happen on a 5MT on an attempt to pull 4th. UN-good results.
As of right now I am swapping my exhaust! Removing my 3" Invidia axleblack (maybe the midpipe also) and re-installing my 2.5" w/ STI midpipe. No more loudness, lol.
greg and i will be there probably around 1ish. we're not installing anything, just there for moral support. ha, and maybe to turn a wrench or two.
