:naughty: So lately I've been in the mood to get sideways in some mud. Unfortunately I live in the middle of the city, and have very limited knowledge about that surrounding, less inhabited regions. Does anyone know a good field (not too rocky, not too likely to get me in trouble with the law) in the area? I'm still not positive if I'm going to be making it to the quiznos meet, but I figured if I did it might be fun to go looking like a post-race rally car.
http://www.wrxatlanta.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18402 you don't get much dirtier than that and the field 'should' be free of divots and rocks, at least in the beginning of the day. plus no one will come running after you with a gun if you go to the rallyx
Haha, I knew someone was going to link me to that thread. I see that it finally has some info about it. I may go, but while not too terribly far, Steele, AL isn't exactly close either. Hmm...what to do this weekend...desicions, decisions...
Yeah, that's a thought of mine too. But this rally-x in AL is pretty much just a flat field from what I can tell. Still though... Also, I no longer have mud and snow rated tires, so it's extremely unlikely that I'd be competitive at all.
i live in the city too, but always on the lookout for backstreets with newly cleared land...although i caught a field over in suwanee in the rain about a month ago, that was a blast....but im still trying to get the mud off. Every time it rains my car leaves a mud stain
all I am going to say is that there is a reason why I don't autox my DD anymore... I'd becareful going to an rallyx so far away without a tow vehicle. A friend of my blew a tire on his very first rallyx in florida (ie really flat field). Rallyx is best left to beaters IMO, if I ever get the caged crx together it's going to see some rallyxing.
Heh clemsonscooby and I had a BLAST at the rally in Cheraw. We literally went airborn one time and immediately had to turn with NO brakes.....LOL that was scary and fun at the same time. We actually went "Wheeeeeee HOooooooooo!" when we got airborne!
