Tried to get this car tuned for the last time but once again ran into ECU limitations. We had to stop at 26psi since the stock wrx ecu was basically maxed out.

    26psi pumpgas and meth

    JDM v7 6 speed.

Nice numbers for 26 psi. What limits did you hit with the stock ecu?

Gary, you really need a race gas tune to see what that setup is cpapble of.

was maxing out the big maf at 300g/s there is no way on the wrx's ecu to raise that limit higher than 300g/s

Problem with doing that is you loose all resolution. Yes it would work, but I wouldn't imagine that the car would drive all that smoothly.

Nice numbers Doug and Gary. Is this with an STi long block or WRX heads?

AR Fab built STI longblock. Or so I was told...

As noted above it's an AR Fab fully built shortblock with stock STi heads/cams ( 9.5:1 CR), not running AVCS.
    Garrett GT35R with .63 a/r.
    Fujitsubo EL headers.
    SMC meth inj.

WOw, that kind of sucks about the limitations of the stock ECU. I guess Garyw ill have to go with Hydra or some other stand alone to get by this limitation?

If he goes with the Hydra he will be able to get AVCS working.....go for it!

would a cobb ap with a protune get by it or would it be the same outcome as ecutek?

It would be the same outcome with an AP. The limitation according to Doug is in the stock ECU.

Hmmmm this is making me think that it may be pointless for me to build my 2.5L as I'm using the WRX ECu with EcuteK.

Sounds like GAWRX and LiquidForce should get 80mm MAF housings and a retune for mo-powa!

I don't think anyone knows. Siegel told me go 80mm MAF housing and I'll make 500 all day if the engine and turbo lets me.
