I've seen claimes of 172... but our speedo's are so off anyways, I'm sure this is really inaccurate...
With enough power they will hit the rev limiter in 6th. At that point, it all depends on how big your tires are, and where you set your rev limiter Siegel
Ha, I don't think you could pay me to do 175 in a WRX. Aerodynamics start getting scary about them speeds. Not to mention you are doing ~255 feet per second. :eek4:
haha yea..i cant stand the loud humming the car makes around 100+..it scares the crap out of me..i think they make them do that for you to slow down
Not to mention your hood starts lifting, gulping in air from our obnoxiously large hood scoop... Side mirrors whistling... Dont forget about the aformentioned inacurate speedo.. Our stock tires are the wrong size for the car and the speedo gets more and more off the faster you go(as far as I've heard). My guess is those top speeds are greatly inflated..........
Higher I believe due to tire diameter... hopefully someone will chime in with how much exactly its off... as far as I've heard 60mph on the speedo is actually about 57 true. And the variation gets bigger as you go faster... I could be talking outta my ass here, "THEY" say a lot that isn't accurate...
same here, both the AP and the garmin tell me i'm doing at least 5mi slower than the speedo tells me. with stock wheel/tire diameter.
im running one size bigger than stock on my sti?would that make it farther off from correct or closer?
oh that just aerodynamics kicking in/mad downforce. Subies aren't meant for high speed runs no matter how many spoilers they put on em. Doesn't anyone know 04+ STi's drag coefficient? P.S to reach high speeds one needs a good suspension, low drag coefficient, good power, and balls. I wouldn't push a Stock STi to it's limit.
Yep. Also, if you have ever seen mmtasty out on the autox course, you might believe the top speed is 25mph...slow bastard...
