COBB releasing AccessPort 350z and RX8!

    Hey guys,

    Just a heads up for you guys...

    Cobb is releasing AccessPort for 350z and RX8!

    350z will offer stage 1, stage 2, Valet mode and Anti-theft with around 10whp gain for stage 1 and another 8-10whp for stage 2.

    RX8 will offer stage 1, Valet mode and Anti-theft.

    yeah we've known that they were going to do it... but when? on their website it still just says comming soon. More details would be great.

    Does the AP for the RX8 fix Apex seals?

    Maybe? Doesn't The AP do a lot for the efficiency and life of the motor?

    I can't believe there are enough RX8 owners to justify them even making that thing?? Talk about an obscure car to develop parts for??

    well bBkiller.. it is just software..

    same hardware....so itd just take a bit of understanding the ECU
    and bam.. maybe the rx8 ecu is simple?

    plus the margins on the accessport units are HUGE once development costs are recuperated

    i think its stupid they developed an ap for the rx8 and not the mazdaspeed6...so much more potential in that motor

    Yes, yes...apex seals are the weak link.

    As for AP, its just for the NA cars. If you want a tune for your FI RX8 you will have to have it custom done by a tuner than has the software. On the NA cars they are seeing 10-15whp and about the same amount in torque for increases.

    A 20whp gain for the 350z on stage 2????? WTF?? My bugeye net approx 62whp stage 2, c'mon...

    IDK.. I thought there were tradeoffs.. like how our cars actually lose power with intakes and some n/a cars gain 30+ horse... I guess its still worth it because it allows you an entryway to tune those cars but...
