St. Paddy's Day

In Savannah, whos coming? i wont be driving since post is not far away but i'd be willing to meet up and have some drinks if ne one is willing

 

I'm going to be down there, but I'm going with 9 people, and already supposed to meet up with lord knows how many others. I'd definitely meet up, but seriously doubt it would work out :sad:

This will be the first time in my 23 years that I will not be going to the St. Paddy's Celebration in Savannah. My dad just had a prostatectomy and will still have a cathater in. Since he won't be there and won't be bringing our private port-o-potties, none of my family is going either. My best friend and his g/f are going on a cruise with his parents to the bahamas starting on friday. On top of that, we have inventory at work next week so they have denied EVERYONE their spring breaks. So, even if i wanted to go, I couldn't. oh well, doesn't make me any less irish.

to those of you guys going, drink one for me!

 

I'm pretty sure I'll be down there with friends. My whole spring break is a bunch of maybe-plans so I'm not 100% sure I'll be there.

 

i am going to do my best to stay away from downtown (with the exception of Friday when I am at work). it just gets too crowded for my tastes this time of year. if anyone wants to meet up somewhere else, i would be willing though.

 

hells yea, let's get drunk and piss in the river!!!! haven't been to Sav for st.patty's in years!!!

I won't be able to make it to Savannah, but does anyone have any plans for atlanta? I'll be in town until wednesday.

 

Everyone was real polite, for some reason, when I was down there. They'll bump into you and turn around and say "i'm sorry, are you ok, man?".

Truth. I love the atmosphere during the day, but it gets pretty sketchy at night (at least in the River Street area).

Its kinda supposed to represent the fact that most irish people's names were screwed up or misspelled at ellis island. It's named for St. Patrick, but St. Paddy's would be a misspelling

well st. paddy's day was a blast. how was everyone's?

 

were you on river street when the power went out on around 10 saturday night? i heard that the police had to evacuate everyone. that must have been a nightmare for them.

 

I was in city market when the power went out. The band kept playing and they kept selling beer so it was awesome!! The police were being cool. We hung out about an hour after the blackout. Best st patty's day for me

 

nah i actually just handed the money for my powerade at the gas station and it went out. so the power outage was most likely my fault...sry guys
