Today is the 75th Anniversary of the end of Prohibition, well not really the end, as the article below will show, but close enough. So, to celebrate this wonderful day, what better than to return home from work or school and crack open a beer. I have a 6 pack of Yuengling chillin in the fridge for just this occasion.

Where did you get the Yuengling?!? I pick up about 3 or 4 12 packs every time I cross the state line. Pisses me off that they are in every southeast state but GA.

My Parents brought it when they came last year. They are coming again in 2 weeks. Will need to ask them to bring another couple cases when they come.

The best way I think to explain Yuengling is this:
There are better beers out there. There are not better beers for the price. A 12 pack of long necks will run you about $9. That is about $1 more than Bud/Miller/Coors Light. The quality of beer for the money can't be beat!

While I am doing a commercial spot for Yuengling, might as well get into it. Yeungling is the oldest brewery in America (started in 1829) and is owned by Anheuser Bush. It is located in Pottsville, PA. I started drinking this b/c I grew up in NC. They just bought a brewery in FL a few years back, but apparently we here in GA drink a ton of beer and they don't have the manufacturing capacity to distribute in GA yet. :pssh:

pretty sure anheuser busch doesn't own yuengling.

also, I think we are releasing an amber ale this fall that should be similiar style :)
should be called budweiser american ale or budweiser amber ale, I can't remember

I grew up in PA. If you are ever in the Northeast, walk into any bar, and ask for a lager. What you get is a Yuengling, unless you specify a different lager when ordering.

Hell they do that at Clemson too. Lemme get a 40oz mug of Yeungling . . .

We had a nice impromptu party at my house last night celebrating this holiday but I had to work until 2am so I missed out.

In the words of the Red Stripe commercial "Hooray Beer".

I agree A H B does not own Yuengling. My good friend works at Northeast Sales which is a distributor for mostly Miller and some other products; he says they are trying to work a deal to distribute Yuengling in GA.
