    Hello Hello!
Name's Keith and I reside in Montgomery, AL. I drive a rough Stage 2 2007 WRX TR, and am looking at smoothing things out and getting rid of the loud tbe and bad smell coming from my catless setup. lol (It was a deal on the whole tbe so I just took it) I bought the exhaust used from a local shop, running a XPT Stage 2 tune, and a K&N drop in from Advanced Auto. That's it. I am not a member of any other local boards, but I have lurked on Nasioc, wrxmodders, and romraider (formerly enginuity) from time to time. I like a nice classy look, so I like the 'Go' but not at all costs. Used to AutoX my 2004 Supercharged Corolla in Birmingham, but the racing scene did not quite stick to me. I just like to drive daily and mash the gas every now and then to get that "weee" feeling. I also like a little show, but it has to look really subtle and nice to me. Not into the Body Kit thing really.

I ALWAYS wave at ALL Subarus, but especially WRXs. Its the law, I think. There is a Blue '03 that we see each other on the way home from work 2-3 times per week and wave. lol

I heard about WRXAtlanta reading a review for TopSpeed in their testimonials section and I figured I would check it out.

    Good to be here.

Welcome to the boards! Pics of your ride?

If you want to smooth things out, I would suggest dumping the XPT tune for a Cobb AP. Not to say there is anything wrong with XPT, but I have never heard of smoothness being a problem with the AP (myself and the other 90% of the people on this board running AP). OR you can get a real tune at a reputable shop.

As for running no cats, you can get a catted DP (I think WJM has one for sale) and there are always stock STi exhaust systems for sale on here.

    Welcome!

I agree on the catted dp, I picked up a helix dp for $200 so they are out there!

Thank you all. :) I can scrounge a few pics. But in the meantime, imagine a stock black with exahust only and a tiny rim gash on the front right wheel and that is my car. xD

Tray, I think I spoke with you over the phone yesterday regarding a possible tune. :) Heh. Small world.

I would love to find a stock STi exhaust with catted DP. I am just NOT a fan of the loudness at all, (although a low rumble is so sexy) Just drove home to Central Florida and I tell you the hum after 8 hours was enough to drive anyone insane. :) Install should be easier 2nd time around.

Welcome to the board. Where in Montgomery are you. My in-laws live there on the south side. I have a stock WRX DP with CAT and around 30K miles on it that you can have, but it is going to negate the performance of your stage 2...

Thank you for the offer, Cannarella. I still have all of my stock parts too. :) I keep them just in case. I would like to remain Stage 2, but I would like a quieter sound. I have heard that you can run a high-flow catted DP with the stock exhaust and be ok, but I do not know. Also this tbe is melting my friggin bumper in the rear, so I am ready to let it go, or just hold it in my shed for the rest of my life. lol If I stay with the Invidia Catback, I might dremel cut part of it out around the tip and look into a silencer. I don't know a lot about them, but someone mentioned it to me and said that is what the little hole in the tip is for.
