ok here is the problem my ca acts really bad at idle when the maf sensor is plug in, after a minute it would trow a cell code 171 on the AP is a lean code SYSTEM IS LEAN, in the other hand when i unplug the maf sensor the car would idle fine an run fine and no lean cell codes would appear at all only the one for the maf sensor not being plug in, at first i believe it was my inlet it was ripped so i got a perrin inlet install and it help a little but not to much after a couple f minutes the car would trow the runing lean cell code on the AP 171 but again if i unplug the maf would run just fine:squint: so i really dont know what going on i was thinking my turbo is going badhnoes: or a leak somewhere but i already checked all the vacum lines and they wore all fine ssh: so my car is driving me crazy help
I just pmed you. Did you notice it before the front mount install? I think you need a tune, especially if you are just running the stage 2 map because its not designed for a front mount set up
well i had an aps FMIC before the injen that i currently have and back when i had the aps the car would run just fine i was thinking the intake i have an aem cold air intake but right now im just using it as a short ram:squint: i just dont know whats going on
ok mods are injen fmic, aem cold air, invidia v2 DP, HKS carbon TI catback, oem bpv,and a perrin turbo inlet, i try to clean my maf sensor with a maf sensor cleaner that they sell at advance auto parts... should i use something else to clean it something stronger or not
dam if i only new where it was check everywhere all the conections that go to the inlet all the clamps:squint: oh yeah i for got to mention im runing AP V1 on stage 2
Hey I'm having the same problem also. I thought it was a leak but it doesn't seem to do it all the time. I even have a O2 sensor CEL code came up. It's a pain trying to to find the source of the problem.
if you're still under warranty, I would suggest taking it to Classic Subaru and request that Steven King work on it. He's phenomenal! Hell, even out of warranty, I suggest it!
His name is Steven and he's a Subaru tech at Classic. He's pretty much the equal to WJM in "knows his shit" factor.
