I got my hid kit from NITRO so I could go ahead and finish the retro fit on my 03. Kit is very nice :bigthumb: thanks bro, The retro will be done this weekend and I will post pics. Big thanks to NITRO & ALEX who helped me out a lot with this. You have to love the support you get from every one on WRX-ATL. :)

Are you putting in projectors or just doing a bulb swap? The bulb swap isn't that great compared to a 'real' retrofit. 10th St Jdm is doing my blobeye TSX retro right now as we speak. Projectors FTW!

No I am doing a true retro using FX35 Projectors.

whys that? you dont think 6k is any good?

  19. nicad

nicad Yes I am a troll

no, 6k sucks. less actual light output, drifting towards the blue end of the spectrum. like alex said, stay under 5k :)

higher temp.. higher wavelength = less in the visible spec

    See for yourself...

Going above 5k will do several things in my experience:
    1. Decrease visibility at night
    2. Incrase fatigue on your eyes
    3. Produce an ugly blue color

I have done testing myself, but people rarely want to believe it. BMW, Audi, Acura, Lexus, Mercedes, etc are using 4300k bulbs.

No offense but NOT a fan.....those headlights are BEGGING for some sort of shroud or something to hid the projector itself.

Hey if you like that's all that matters.
