    Hey Y'all,
I can't believe it took me this long to find this cool forum! I'm looking forward to meeting an learning from you all. I'm a new scooby owner ( 3 months). I love my baby! ( Blue '04 Rex).

I wanna start doing mods in a few months but for now I'm gearing up for my 60k service.:eek3:

Hate to do this in my intro post but here goes
    1. Where to do it? ---I live in paulding ( northwest atlanta)is there any place remotely close?

    2. How much will it cost? ---Is there anything i can do on my own to reduce the overall cost?

    3. How long does it take? --- Do I need to take a day off work?

    4. Is there anything else I need to know?

As I said before I'm really excited about learning more about my car and I think I'm in the right place!

    Oh, the formalities:
    1. Where do you live? Paulding/Powder Springs/ Dallas Area
    2. What do you preferred to be called (not your username)? Since God is already taken, call me Raz
    3. What do you drive? '04 WRX
    4. How modded is your ride? 1 Pine Air Freshner. Scent : Cool Water
    5. Where do you usually by parts? Autozone ( ducks and runs for cover)
    6. Do you visit any other local boards? Haven't really had a chance to yet
    7. Show, Go, or Stock and staying that way? Love stock, but I want an full exhaust system
    8. Do you wave to other wrx's when you see then coming towards you? I flash them! Wave at them, follow them home lol
    9. Where did you find out about WRXatlanta? Googled it

Welcome to the site, you ARE in the right place.

I would suggest taking it to KingWrex up at Classic Subaru.

    Welcome!

If you are even somewhat handy with tools, you can do many of the 60k maintenance tasks yourself and save a bit. Oil/filter change, coolant, brake fluid, spark plugs.

FWIW, I did all of my 30k (not same as 60k I know) for about $80 in materials (fluids etc) when the dealer quoted me about $400. You can even do a few of the easier things to save some money and then take it to the dealer and ask them to do the rest.

There are a few members on this forum who have organized maintenance get-togethers so we could share tools and expertise.

Although, if I had to take it to a dealer, I would also recommend going to Classic Cadillac and Subaru; ask for Steven (KingWrex).

Doing the above would cost more...
the 30k is a package so if you add up all the individual stuff like sparkplugs change oil, tranny flush ect you get way more than 400.

Not if you do the work YOURSELF. Yes, I'm sure if you got each item on the 30k/60k done individually, yes it would cost more. But if you do your own oil, tranny fluid, coolant, brake fluid, and plugs then you will end up spending WAY less than 400 bucks.

Then you go to the dealership and ask them to only perform specific taks from the maintenance schedule. It is good to ask for only specific tasks anyway. I went to SOG once for a 15k service package and they tacked on extra stuff like "fuel system cleaning" that I did not ask for.
