So this morning I started up my car, and let it warm up a bit. I was about to leave when I saw my CEL on so i was like... shit....:eek3:

I check the CEL codes(P0301/P0302) and then reset the ECU. I turned off the car and turned it back on, let it idle for a few minutes and nothing happened. So I drove about 2 miles down the road to my mom's house.
My car pretty much felt the same but, it seems like i had to give it a little more gas in first or else it would bog. I almost stalled pulling out of my parking spot because I didnt give it enough gas.

I just drove back from my mom's house and my car feels normal... or so i think.

So anyone have any ideas or wanna check out my car?

Bad plugs, bad coilpacks, or a bad tank of gas.

Mmmm, I did just get a full tank of gas at shell yesterday.

I searched NASIOC and I read a few posts that said it could be carbon build up on the pistons or something?

I have a can of seafoam sitting in my room so is it safe for me to run it through my car? And which hose should i put it in from?

  4. Prob. bad gas unless you have a lot of miles on your car.?

One of my friend's owns a gas station, and he told me that apparently shell and BP just changed over to E10 and they havent changed over their filters yet. So gunk and shit gets through. Also if there's like water in the station's gas tank then the ethanol will mix with it while regular gasoline wont.

Stock NGK plugs will work fine unless you have a bigger turbo.

  9. Not sure the interval.check your owners manual.unless they are iridiums I would replace them.Maybe even if they are I still would.

i kept on getting the same codes (1&3) long time ago on my car upon startup. Then it went away and now every once a while it would throw P0301 (cyl 1) code upon intial startup then it runs perfectly fine afterward. I uncliped the coilpack and cyl 1 connector had dirt/build up in it...so i am guessing that might be the problem? What can i used to clean it out? Brake cleaner to wash the build up?

Josh when does ur car misfire? Driving or at idle?
Seems like some subies have been getting same codes.....bad coil pack to begin with?
