How to clear headlight lens?

First, this isn't about painting a headlight, taking it apart, etc. My bugeye's lens is starting to fade/cloudy ( NOT moisture ) and I want them to look as though they were new. Anybody have a tried and true method, other than buying new lights? Looking for a cheap fix solution.

    'fraid not.

The plastic in the lens is de-laminating, no amount of shenanigans on the cheap is going to fix that.

Go to any auto store (even Wal-Mart) and pick up a headlight lens restoration kit...it will cost $15-$20.

You will get 2 grades of sandpaper, some compound cream and maybe a sealer.

Follow the directions and in 30 minutes with some elbow grease, will produce dramatic results.

Just did this over the weekend...very happy.

I just use a little of this every other car wash or so, just to maintain them. Won't help much if they're really bad though.

I've used mag wheel polish and a mother's power ball numerous times in the past keeps em looking shiny and new for about 2 car washes. But as said before, don't get any on your paint

Sweet thanks for all the ideas. They're not really that bad, I just want them better.
