I was up at the range and we were talking about group packages. The owner said we can work something out on rentals, lanes and ammo if we get 10-20 of us up there. We can easily secure a rifle lane and 5 or 6 of the pistol lanes. I'm thinking he wants to do this during the week, but I could talk him into a Saturday. I was just there last week, they are selling my AR-15 for me on consignment.. I'll be purchasing a .45 Springfield XD (stainless, with night sites) when the AR sells... Thats only a few minutes from my work, and not too bad from my apt, so I'm down.. especially when I get my new .45 ...........

Looking for $700 for the AR with 3 clips/case... its under consignment at that shop right now though, so I'm not sure how that works if I want it back from him to sell it on my own.

I will find out more next week, but it looks like we could actually rent out the entire place on a Tuesday from 6:30pm until 9ish. For $25 a person or so, everything will be included except ammo. This means gun rentals, lanes, targets, eyes and ears, and a rangemaster. We would need to have 20 people signed up for sure. We could do this on a diff. week from 2pt5RS' meets. What does everyone think?
That sounds good too. So just to make sure. If I wanted to rent a gun from the range, all I would have to do is buy ammo for it and have at? sah-weet. :ddirty:
Damn it... my AR didn't sell yet... I have nothing to shoot besides my 12 gauge, which isn't fun unless you have something to blow up... hopefully the AR sells before this G2G so I'll have a new .45 to play with..
For those of us with our own eyes/ears/gun/ammo is there any sort of discount? $25 is kinda high for just renting out a range when you can rent a lane for $10 and a gun for $5...
I agree with you, but iirc...at this place, lane rentals are normally $16hr, and gun rentals are $10hr. I will be calling them after lunch...stay posted.
Yeah last time Greg, Keegan and I went it was 70 bucks for me and Greg. That was gun rental, lane rental, 4 silhouette targets, and eye protection (had ear protection already, one gun and ammo as well). That was for 30 minutes. Seemed ridiculously high to me. But then again, my parents live 2 miles from the county outdoor range in Bryan county (that's south of savannah for all you non-south georgians) and its free there! Oh and that was with Greg's discount as a Forsyth county sheriff.

I recommend visiting your local Wal-Mart for semi-cheaper ammo and targets. Remember, we will have the entire range (10 pistol & 2 rifle) for almost 3 hours. Otherwise, if we can't get enough people together for this. My membership allows me to bring a couple of guests at $8 each...no time limit and 10% off. Sonic: I saw your AR...very nice! maybe you should mention something about the "ban" parts...like the barrel.

^^ guys, unless I'm confused about what your talking about... the AR is "During ban", not pre or post ban.. meaning it had all the restrictions on it. It has a fixed stock(military style, not collapsable).. the lower is just a normal lower, only goes to Semi... no full or 3 round burst. The barrel is also plain jane.. no flash surpressor/compensator etc... Not sure what kind of goodies you guys think are on there.. its just a very basic AR. Still fires 30 rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger though.. fun stuff!!! I'd keep it if I could fire it more...
When they were explaining to me about the differences, the barrel is shorter and no flash suppressor; plus, does it have the bayonet lug?...
make the date and i will be there. i would say perhaps next week will be too early for most people to make plans. so perhaps the tuesday after next (i.e. two weeks from today)
